¡Bienvenidos! I am Daisy Gómez, CEO and Founder of Encuéntrate Counseling & Consulting.

I am a trauma informed Spanish speaking bilingual Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois. I have over ten years of clinical experience in working with children, teenagers, adults, and families in a wide range of settings including mental health outpatient programs, non-profit organizations, school based community mental health, research institutions, crisis management, and psychiatric hospitals.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Community Psychology and Spanish from DePaul University. After completing my undergraduate studies, I attended Loyola University Chicago where I earned my Master's Degree in Community Counseling.

Who I work with and how?
My current work is centered around helping high achieving first generation adult professionals experiencing overcome feelings of overwhelm and burnout.

My areas of specialties include anxiety, depression and trauma. My intention is to help people step into their power by healing and embracing their authentic self once again.

I am trained to provide culturally sensitive care and practice through lenses of evidence based practices including:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
Brainspotting
Person-Centered Therapy
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

Utilizing an integrative collaborative strength based approach to meet your individual needs is my priority. I created Encuéntrate Counseling & Consulting with the goal to continue to de-stigmatize mental health and normalize the use of trauma informed culturally affirming therapy, trainings, and professional consultations, particularly among BIPOC communities. I am proud to be able to provide all services in English, Spanish, and Spanglish.

Currently, I conduct psychological evaluations in English or Spanish for the following immigration cases: Hardship Waiver, VAWA, U Visa, T Visa and Asylum Cases. I work closely with individuals, families, and their attorneys to provide a thorough and accurate psychological evaluation to assist with your immigration case.

I am very passionate about diversifying and contributing to the field of counseling by serving as an Adjunct Professor. I am currently teaching first year master level counseling graduate students in the Department of Counseling and Special Education .
